Designers’ Saturday with STARON® wildlife designs
At the weekend of the 1 to 2 November, Langenthal, located in the geographic centre of the cities of Basel, Zurich and Bern turned into the focussed destination for design fans.
About 70 exhibitiors, including the leading Swiss Design Schools called «Carte Blanches», presented their items at the biannual Designers’ Saturday in six industrial locations in and around Langenthal.
The long-term Swiss STARON® distributor Studer Handels AG exhibited selected items of the «STARON® Art — Inspired by wildlife» design line at the producion site of the rug producer Ruckstuhl.
By his dustinctive 3-D-flooring, stand designer Guy Lafranchi created the ideal, close-to-nature ambience for the STARON® «Humpback kitchen island» and further «wildlife» items.
The jutting spikes of the «Hedgehog sofa» — made with STARON® Pure White — did not scare off visitors, but attracted them to experience the tactile sensation of the smooth surface.
The wildlife designs were complemented by Guy Lafranchi’s STARON® «Pelican» Lamp of his P_CANO illumination line.
Renowned Guy Lafranchi already impressed visitors of Samsung Chemical Europe’s Showroom featuring his STARON® office designs at Milan Design Week 2013.
The Staron® «Pelican» Lamp(front, left) by Guy Lafranchi was designed in accordance with the geometry of the beak of the pelican — complementing the stand design inspired by nature harmoniously.
